Between 2010 and 2013 the four key members of the research team for the ESRC-funded research project 'If the Shoe Fits: Footwear Identity and Transition' were Professor Jenny Hockey, Professor Victoria Robinson, Dr Rachel Dilley and Dr Alexandra Sherlock.

The ‘if the shoe fits’ Advisory Board
Throughout the course of the project, the Advisory Board met twice a year to support and advise the research team. Members of the Advisory Board have a wide range of knowledge and expertise in relation to shoes, fashion theory and design, podiatry, qualitative (including visual) methods, gender studies, cultural studies, sociology, history and exhibition curation. All advisory board members were invited to contribute to the blog and to promote ongoing discussion.
